Cellulite is a network of fat cells that are bound by the fibers found beneath a person’s skin which causes the surface of the skin to dimple or pucker, like the surface of an orange. Losing cellulite has become a serious problem for many females around the world as most of them develop it to lesser or greater degrees as they get older. There are many reasons for cellulite just as there are many methods of losing cellulite, still if you are lucky enough to eliminate it, you can have the equally hard task of keeping it off.

Although males can suffer with cellulite, it is principally found on women, usually at the back of their thighs, tum and butt because of differences in the way the muscle and tissues are distributed. This is because women in general have a higher amount of fatty tissue than males. Estrogen, the female hormone is also partly to blame as one of the causes of cellulite because it is an aid in the storage of fat needed by the woman for a period, when she is pregnant and producing breast milk. Another contributing cause of cellulite is being fat but cellulite is not created as a direct result of this, nonetheless, it can worsen the situation. During maternity, a woman’s body goes through a number of changes during which time there is an increase in fatty deposits, overall weight gain and the retention of water.
It is now by and large believed that the easiest way of losing cellulite is to maintain a healthy, low fat, high fiber diet with plenty of regular exercise. One simple cellulite therapy is the use of a tanning bed because the darker the skin the less evident the cellulite is. Unfortunately, doing various cellulite treatment exercises may still not be enough in the pursuit of losing cellulite or cure a person’s hormonal imbalance which is still commonly thought of as the main reason why women get cellulite. However, there are other cellulite therapies you can use such as massaging the affected specific areas, water therapy to flush the system, ointments that burn the cellulite and of course giving up cigarettes.
Some females go one stage further and have suction lipectomy cellulite treatment which removes the cellulite deposits by sucking it out of the skin through small incisions. By kneading the affected are with rollers, the accumulated fatty tissues are broken up until all the toxins and any water are sucked out. This is one of the more elaborate and costly methods of losing cellulite and not a form of cellulite therapy every woman wants to undergo. Although cellulite is not an illness or medical condition it can be a sign of an unhealthy lifestyle in the individual affected. Finding the cause of cellulite in each person is the first step to treating the cellulite and then hopefully as a method of losing cellulite altogether.
